Finally, a church sign that just says it

Posted by: James Laws In: At LifePoint| Odds & Ends

There are so many church signs that I hate. They use bad puns and sometimes just bad messages. Most of the time a churches sign doesn’t really tell you about what kind of church it is. Instead they say things like “contemporary worship” or “relevant messages”. Both of these phrases actually tell you nothing about [...]

You wouldm’t like me when I’m angry…

Posted by: James Laws In: Odds & Ends

Luckily, few people ever see me angry. Of course that really isn’t the purpose of this post. The only real reason for this post is to say that I am looking forward to seeing the new Incredible Hulk movie. The last one was way to artsy. Plus, I love Edward Norton as an actor. All [...]

Thank God Almighty, I am free at last.

Posted by: James Laws In: Odds & Ends

As I posted earlier today I haven’t drank a soda in 7 weeks. It has been nothing but water for me. Well this evening I felt like I really wanted a Coke with my dinner. I decided that a 12 oz. can of Coke wouldn’t be the end of my current weight loss journey.
It was [...]

Progress…finally.

Posted by: James Laws In: Odds & Ends

I thought it was time to give everyone a progress report on my current journey to a slimmer and healthier me. Here is a break down of what I have been doing. It really is simple. I try to eat no more than 2,000 calories a day with occasional supplemental exercises. I have stopped drinking [...]

And now I give you the finger.

Posted by: James Laws In: Odds & Ends

Not that finger! I know I told everyone two posts ago that I jacked up my finger playing basketball but I don’t think you get the full impact until you see it for yourself. So click on the thumbnail and enjoy my ugly bruised finger. It may no be pretty, but it’s mine.

Last Week in Review

Posted by: James Laws In: At LifePoint| Odds & Ends

I am sure everyone noticed that I did not post at all last week. I find it very difficult to write when I have allergies kicking my butt up and down miserable street so I refrained. I know that many of you may feel like you have had a week robbed from you so I [...]

Twitter me about it.

Posted by: James Laws In: Odds & Ends

Apparently this whole Twitter thing just keeps getting bigger. I am trying to utilize the tool but just don’t have that many 140 character sized epiphanies to share. Maybe I am just not that interesting or maybe I can’t justify tweeting every little thing throughout my day. It would probably be pretty lame.

Eating a chicken [...]

Pet Peeve: National Day of Anything

Posted by: James Laws In: Odds & Ends

Don’t take this personally but I am not a fan of National Days. Not because of what they represent but how some people tend to take them to seriously. A perfect example is today. Today is the National Day of Prayer. A day for people of faith to come together and pray for our nations, [...]

    About

Something has been happening inside me that I have a very difficult time explaining. It has been happening for several months now and keeps getting more and more dramatic. I am haunted when I sleep. I am haunted while I'm awake. I am haunted when I watch TV and when I drive around town. I am haunted when I talk to friends and I am haunted when I sit in silence.

I am sad and angry by what I see around me and brought to tears when I see someone do something about it. My heart is broken, my mind is overwhelmed and my body is weak. I must do more. I must help others do more. I must help other become haunted.
