James LawsJames Laws is the Lead Pastor of LifePoint Community Church. Although James has been in full-time ministry since 1994 it was in 2002 that he started his first pastoral position as the Executive Pastor for Embassy Christian Center (ECC). ECC had been a church on the decline for over 5 years when James joined the staff of 2 people in a congregation of 12. He was given the opportunity to help reinvent the dying church, a challenge that he gladly took.

During that short time James helped lead the church through a name change, purpose renewal and all around restructuring. When completed, Embassy Christian Center became Tennessee Valley Community Church; a congregation of 80 people who love Christ and His call. Tennessee Valley is still meeting to this day under the leadership of Pastor David Woodrow.

In late 2005 James felt God leading him into the next phase of his life. Although not an easy move, James gave up his position at Tennessee Valley Community Church and began planning LifePoint. Joined by others with a similar passion and vision, LifePoint has begun.
